I left my 5-lb. Yorkie alone in a Sherpa bag for an hour and a half. Upon returning home, I found her running around my house. She had chewed a hole through the mesh. These bags are dangerous and certainly not safe for airline travel.
I'm sorry you are dis-satisfied with the product. Sherpa bags are travel carriers and not intended to be used as a crate or for crate training. Dogs should not to be left unattended in any soft sided carrier.
